Set beside the category’s biggest names, the new winking mark holds its own — warmer and more human, but unmistakably built for messaging.
STORY
A friendlier face for chat.
SoChat lets you chat or group-chat free with friends or new people you meet — over Wi-Fi, cellular, or directly device-to-device over Bluetooth. Punch upgraded the brand to match that youthful, optimistic spirit.
Not a redesign so much as a refinement: we replaced the abstract “poliwhirl” swirl with a winking smiley in a chat bubble, brightened the blue (Marrakesh Blue) against Eclipse Black and Grout Grey, and swapped neutral Helvetica for Boing by Copenhagen’s Playtype — warmer, rounder, more human. Approachable, delightful, and built to spark joy every time you see it.
